Welcome to the Collie Cycle Club
The Collie Cycle Clubhas a very strong & rich vein of cycling history dating back more than 100 years. The history has been built around encouraging recreation in cycling and the club prides itself on the iconic Collie to Donnybrook and Return Cycling Classic and the Tom Lowry Memorial cycle race.
The club is home to past and current national champions and welcomes all categories of riders to join the club and participate.
To develop and advance the sport of cycling at all levels in Collie and the surrounding South West, encouraging recreation in cycling, both competitive and non competitive by promoting positive attitudes and a healthy lifestyle through family and community involvement whilst maintaining a safe environment.
The Team Time Trial (TTT) is a new addition to the Collie to Donnybrook and Return Cycling Classic race day program.
The event will be raced over 56km of the historic 104km Collie to Donnybrook and Return course, passing through some of the toughest terrain the South West of WA has to offer.
Beginning in Collie, the TTT will head South through hilly terrain towards Mumballup for 21km before turning right and heading towards Donnybrook for a further 7km’s. Upon reaching the half way point riders will turn around and return to Collie via Mumballup with the last 21km of the course being a challenging return through the hills to the finish line in the main street of Collie.
Teams will consist of 4 riders with the clock stopped on the 3rd rider to cross the finish line. No time trial bikes, bars or disc wheels will be allowed. Teams will depart in 1 minute intervals.
Team categories consist of Open, Mixed and Women.
